  • Hand Washing: This is nothing new to Les Enfants. Staff and children wash hands in the recommended manner as always – but even more often than before! All staff and children wash hands upon entering the Center and before leaving the Center as well as the many, many other required times throughout the day.

  • Smocks: Staff is required to wear smocks, which are only worn at the Center, to cover clothing worn to and from the Center.

  • Groups: Group sizes are limited as per state licensing regulations and groups are kept separate from each other. Groups remain with the same staff members throughout the day.

  • Physical Distancing: Measures are taken to limit activities that encourage close contact.

  • Storage: All children have a locker for their coats, jackets, and backpacks. All items must be brought home at the end of each day and the lockers are disinfected.

  • Supplies: Each child has their own set of supplies such as crayons, pencils, markers, and scissors which are not shared with other children.

  • Toy bins: All Learning Areas in each classroom are supplied with plastic toy bins for children to put toys in after playing with them. The toys are cleaned and disinfected before being returned to the area for others to play with.

  • Toys that cannot be cleaned and disinfected, such as stuffed animals and dress-up clothing, is prohibited. Some necessary items, such as books, are kept in a separate bin which is labeled for each child and not shared.

  • Sanitizing and disinfecting: Enhanced sanitizing and disinfecting is done daily and throughout the day. A safe, hospital-grade sanitizing mist is applied to all surfaces at the end of the day. This is also used on the playground and gym equipment in between uses by each group.

  • Professional sanitizing and monitoring have always been done regularly at Les Enfants by Sterile Space Infection Defense. This deep sanitizing service was performed prior to Les Enfants re-opening and protect surface transmission of COVID as well as other viruses for more than one year.
